Lately people have been flaming Atari for not giving out information of products early. These are probably the same people who flamed Atari for always giving out information before products were released! I would just like to say that although I did not like Atari's old policy, I never flamed them, but now I would like to compliment them on their new policy. Atari deserves to be recognized for changing their image in this regard. They still have a long way to go, but they are on the right track! Now, if we could just get them to release information on what they already have out. Dan Wilson

I think both arguments boil down to the same underlying complaint: Atari doesn't actually *do* anything. When they were announcing products all over the place, showing them at trade shows etc., people complained because the products never actually appeared. Now Atari never annouces anything (although they hint and still show stuff that may never be available for sale) and people are complaining because they don't hear anything about new products. Really it's the same argument. Atari hasn't got any new products worth talking about and they're now avoiding talking about stuff that will never happen. Either way people are gonna complain about nothing new and exciting ever making it to a store near them. Hey maybe they'll prove me wrong this time! :-) -- David Beckemeyer (david@bdt.UUCP) | "Adios amigos.
