Here's a simple question to which I can't get a firm answer. I'll be spending next year in Paris on sabbatical year (no expressions of sympathy, please: I'll just have to grit my teeth and bear it). I run a Mega4 here in Canada, and I'd like to carry the computer with me. Now the CPU and keyboard are quite portable, and present no problems; I'm told the computer will run perfectly from a transformer. But no one seems to be quite sure how to handle monochrome display. Can I buy a monitor in France and expect it to run with, say, a few sparkles? Or do I have to tote my monitor to get a display from my Canadian computer? Can I have the power supply replaced in Paris to run European monitors? And, incidentally, is there a problem with *ALL* European software on North American machines? Perhaps Ken B. can get some definitive statements from in-house gurus in Sunnyvale with respect to these questions: it can't be all that unusual to want to run a 110v, 50Hz machine in 220/60 lands. Many thanks for any advice from any of you, especially those who have done it.
