[comp.sys.atari.st] DVI drivers and an Xmodem question

jparker@watvlsi.waterloo.edu (James Parker) (04/20/89)

I have a couple of questions which are really not related but which I would
appreciate some answers to:

1) Some months ago, I asked if anyone had ported TeX dvi drivers for the
HP Laserjet or Laserjet Plus...I was told basically no, but that it
shouldn't be that difficult. Before I give it a try, I thought I would
check again if it has been done, or failing in that, could someone tell
me what changes need to be made to port the generic drivers (DVIJET and
DVIJEP) from the TeX archive at science.utah? I assume whoever ported
DVIEPS used this as a beginning and could tell me what is required.

2) I usually use Uniterm2.0e and Xmodem/Ymodem batch for file transfer
and it works well. However, whenever I transfer text files, I end up with
a line of ^Z^Z^Z^Z's at the end of the file. I think I was told once that this
is a problem with Xmodem (not with Uniterm). Is this true...and if so, is
there anything that can be done to get around it?

I'm sure I had more to ask, but for now this will do.
Thanks for any responses.
