[comp.sys.atari.st] Knowing your desk accessories

This isn't my usual panicked request for help.  I'm just curious this time.
I have a tendency to do funny things with the screen inside GEM applications.
These things are often unfriendly to desk accessories (like making them 
garish or illegible, not writing over them).  So I wonder if there's any
reasonably 'official' way of telling what, if any, desk accessories are 
using screen space at a given time.
