Could anyone tell me the correct rpm for a standard Atari drive?

Should be about 300 rpm, I think.

In 'Scheibenkleister' a book about mass storage devices 
by Claus Brod and Anton Stapper, I read it is 300 rpm ~1%,
above and below you may have problems reading and writing
disks on other drives than yours.
