Greetings Netlanders, I'm posting in the hopes that someone out there has already gone to the trouble of creating an IEEE floating point math library for MWC to replace their DEC floating point support. Reasons involve: 1) Being able to software select use of the 68881 math coprocessor IF it exists in the machine at the time... and 2) self amusemnt. I know that Alcyon uses IEEE, as does the rest of the world, but MWC uses the DEC format. Since the "offering" of the libraries for a fee, I figured someone would have converted the FP to IEEE... I would _greatly_ appreciate it if anyone has, and could mail me a copy of the source... If not, I'm gonna create one, and will post when I get around to it... Oh, in case anyone was wondering, you can buy a 68881 coprocessor board if you're a developer, from Atari, and run your FP with blinding speed. In addition, you've GOT to figure they put a 68881 next to the 68030 in the TT, 'cause they're _built_ to go hand in hand... Soooo..... --Kenneth "kens" Soohoo (soohoo@cory.Berkeley.Edu) Atari Hacker (Atari's Hacker...) "It could be worse, you could get hit by a bus..." My opinions are my OWN, _not_ necessarily Atari's. But "hey", who knows?
