I almost hate to admit this, but after 3 years of ST'ing, I still have no idea what GDOS can do for me or even what it really is! I have seen a posting for a German Program called Amcdos, does this mean that with this program and some fonts I will be able to run programs like manual-maker that require GDOS? Are GDOS fonts available in the Public Domain? What do I need to have to get started using GDOS? and can I do it without having to invest any money? (I'm not that cheap, its just that I don't know if GDOS will be of any use to me and I don't want to blow cash on something I can't use!). Please, all you GDOS experts out there, give me some tips! ========================================================================= | Jeff Long jlong@blackbird.afit.af.mil (ARPA net) | | | | humble (and getting humbler by the day) graduate student; | | The Air Force Institute of Technology (what a great way of life??) | =========================================================================

I am starting to figure some of the Gdos mystery out. Does anyone know where I can find a public domain HP-DeskJet GDOS driver an a set of fonts for it? What about color monitor fonts? Any help would really be appreciated. I am trying to get Manual-Maker running. Any tips? ========================================================================= | Jeff Long jlong@blackbird.afit.af.mil (ARPA net) | | | | humble (and getting humbler by the day) graduate student; | | The Air Force Institute of Technology (what a great way of life??) | =========================================================================
