[comp.sys.atari.st] GDOS, AHDI, FONTWID?

I am having GDOS problems. Could someone explain to
me the use of AHDI.PRG and why my OPUS(FONTWID.PRG)
returns with "Could not open printer workstation."

	Thanks in advance,

		Spieu!

Whew -- you're having more than GDOS problems!

AHDI.PRG is not a part of GDOS -- it's the Atari Hard Disk Interface
driver. If you have not made your hard disk bootable, you need to boot
with AHDI in the AUTO folder of the floppy to make the hard disk come to
life. If you have made your hard disk bootable, you don't need AHDI at
all -- it's already on your hard disk, called SHDRIVER.SYS or something
else with .SYS at the end.

I don't know anything about the other program you mentioned, or its
trouble opening the printer workstation.
