The gentleman who flamed me re: WP and Fkeys OBVIOUSLY has a narrow scope on what Fkeys are for. They are to HELP you in your work. Since many applications do not put Fkey defs on screen I have the following on hard copy templates: 1. 30 Fkeys for CYBER NOS 2. 30 Fkeys for CYBER NOS/VE 3. 30 Fkeys for VMS 4. 10 Fkeys for LDW power 5. 10 Fkeys for Timeworks DTP 6 10 Fkeys for HiSoft BASIC I would have to add 40 Fkey defs if I used WP. Fortunately the NOS and NOS/VE full screen editors have Fkey defs on screen and THEY ROLLOVER!!! IF you use ONE application a lot and if it uses Fkeys, then ONE template is fine and screen defs are redundant. However, people who use many appl. and switch between them regularly have to constantly look up templates. It's a PAIN IN THE ###. So, YES, FKeys SHOULD be on screen in all appl. Screw the use of tons of templates!
