Hi,
Here is the summary:
If you need a development system (i.e. source debugger, fast
compiler) you should by either Laser C or Mark Williams C.
Turbo C compiles fastly and makes fast code, but it's floating
point routines are awful.
GCC makes fast code, but you'll need at least 2 Meg to run it
without problems (4 Meg is recommended). Sozobon C is fast enough
in compiling and makes reasonably good code. You get also source
code for Sozobon.
SO: if you want a commercal compiler buy eiter Laser C or Mark
Williams C. If want a PD compiler and you have 4Meg ST with HD
copy GCC. Sozobon can be run in a 520ST with 360K floppy.

PS: This is what you have told me !!! I have NOT tested any of those
miserable compilers...
