I have a problem with my mono-monitor, and I'd like some advice. My ST has been completely trouble-free for 3 years, but since last week, the display has a problem. It starts out Ok when I turn on the system, but after 10-15 minutes, the characters at the top of the display become very big, and the bottom of the display is compressed. If you look at the scan lines, they appear as follows, spaced out widely at the top, and squeezed together near the bottom NORMAL PROBLEM ----- ----- Top of screen ----- ----- ----- ----- ===== Bottom of screen The problem is not gradual, but it happens suddenly; the screen flickers, and then is messed up. Sometimes, it flickers and becomes normal again for a while, then goes back to the weird state. This does not happen if I hook up the ST to a TV, so I suspect the problem is in the monitor. Does anyone have any experience with something like this? I'm quite willing to muck around with the monitor, but I'm a bit wary of the high-V stuff. I'd appreciate any hints as to what could be wrong, and also advise on where I could get it fixed (we don't have any dealers in this area!). Does Atari fix these things, if I were to mail it in?
