don't know what new 1040STs are selling for where Dennis lives, but I can buy
a brand new 1040ST with a COLOR monitor here in Phoenix for $999. $799 buys
you a brand new 1040ST with his monochrome monitor. IMHO, 1040ST is basically
just a game machine, and for that you need the color monitor. Most of the
good new DTP,CADD, etc. require as much memory (both RAM and hard disk) as you
can afford, and for that you are better off just buying a Mega ST2 or ST4.

Also, his software prices are too high. We had a software swap this Spring at
local Atari club and most people sold ST software at 40 cents to the dollar.

The most that I would be willing to pay for a USED monochrome 1040ST
would be $400, and I did that last year!! A color 1040ST would be worth maybe
$550 to me.
