I was wondering if there are any ST ram expansion boards that use ZIP format for 1Mbit chips. For those unfamiliar with ZIP's, they are configured like this: | | | | | | | | | | ___________________ -------------------- TOP view | | | | | | | | | | | | |_________________| Side view ||||||||||||||||| (the reason I'm asking it that there is a guy locally that had these for $7 each). Also, how fast of RAM's are needed (I don't think this is a problem for ST's - I think that any 1Meg parts available today are fast enough). Dave Ritchie hplabs!hp-lsd!ritchie

Just take the inverse of the clock speed 1 / 8e6 which is 125e-9 or 125 nanoseconds therefore, anything <125 would work. Opinion of a ee290 student at U of I.

SIMM ram devices are used in Mac's and some AT's and are often much cheaper than standard ram chips (DIL). Stefan Buerger ... unido!hpbbn!hpumnza!stefan
