[comp.sys.atari.st] Is Sozobon C going ANSI?

achowe@tiger.waterloo.edu (CrackerJack) (07/02/89)

I'm curious to know if Sozobon C is going to become more ANSIish? I
ask because at work I use the WatCom C V7.0 compiler on dare I say...
a IBM AT...eech, gag me with a wooden spoon please.

Anyways I have just had to write a TSR in C and learn all that PC
interrupt garbage and dick around with segments :-b One of the things
I noticed were the key words -- interrupt and volatile. Now volatile
I believe WatCom C ignores but interrupt changes the init/fini code for
a routine by saving registers changing data segs and doing an iret at
the end.

What I'm driving at is could or do we need something like this in
Sozobon in order to write exception handlers?

Also a little something I like: single line comments denoted by '//'
(double slash).
