I just bought Shadow and upgraded my old 1.5 version of Flash to v1.6 using the upgrade that came on the Shadow disk (nice idea Antic!) and have also upgraded shadow to Version1.1 using the patch available on the net. I like the combo, but ran into some compatibility problems. I was running Shadow, Flash, TurboDos and Quick-ST 1.2. Whenever the unix box I was talking to would issue a screen clearing command, CRASH, lockup and reboot! I deleted turbodos and QuickST and now no problems. Is it QuickST causing this. It seems to run ok with just turbodos loaded. Anyone else have this problem with QuickST and Shadow/Flash combo? I have the original version of Turbo-ST (version 1.0 which I bought in July of 88). I have seen several short clips mentioning updates in the magazines (I NEVER received any update offers from Softtrek, and yes I did send in my registration card) but I never bothered to update because it didn't help my Wordperfect speed any. Now I read the latest news that version 1.57 includes an increase in speed for WordPerfect. But, it says updates for version 1.5 owners is only $5.00. Does this mean I should have been nickle and diming my self to buy every incremental update they have been offering? Seems like I should get some credit for buying the original product! (which left a LOT to be desired!!). Has anyone else upgraded with them lately? BTW, Shadow1.1 and Flash 1.6 are a NEAT little pair of programs!
