Now that I see this system advertised in STart Magazine (Computability Consumer
Electronics, $209), I assume it is real. Has anyone tried it out? How does it
work? Is it reliable? What kind of software does it come with? Does it come
with i/o specs for writing your own programs with i/o to the VCR?
For those who don't know what this is, it is a system that allows you to back
up a hard disk, up to 360Mb, onto asingle VCR tape, using a standard VCR
recorder or Video camera with composite a/v input.
I would also like to know if there any other backup systems which would go for
a competitive price.
