[comp.sys.atari.st] ST Users in Japan???

We all know that the Atari ST is a popular machine in Europe, but is the
ST popular in Japan?

I am interested in marketing a software product there if there are users!

I doubt if there is much of a market in Japan, since the Japanese prefer
to use a computer that works in their language and can do hiragana/katakana/
kanji.  A friend loaned me a Japanese computer magazine, however, and I
did see some ads for Atari St's for music applications.  The ads 
were for stores that specialize in midi.
