"I would have to add 40 Fkey defs if I used WP. Fortunately the NOS and NOS/VE
full screen editors have Fkey defs on screen and THEY ROLLOVER!!!

IF you use ONE application a lot and if it uses Fkeys, then ONE template is
fine and screen defs are redundant. However, people who use many appl. and
switch between them regularly have to constantly look up templates. It's a
PAIN IN THE ###. So, YES, FKeys SHOULD be on screen in all appl. Screw the
use of tons of templates!"

Good point. I got rid of the problem by buying a multiple
template holder from a company that makes such a thing for the IBM
keyboards that have north-bound function keys like the ST. Works
great and only cost $8.00 U.S. local. You just flip the dividers
like one would do a Rolodex.
As far as WordPerfect and roll-overs. It will NEVER be. Such
an on-screen device would just about kill whatever pirate defense
that the program has at all. WordPerfect is just about one of the
most popular programs that is being pirated on the ST. Sadly, I've
seen more copies of both program and templates than originals.
Be content that we have WordPerfect still hanging in there for
the ST. I assure you, it is a very fragile relationship.
There is, perhaps, a solution. Have some kind soul to write an
accessory that does what you suggest. Indeed, the accessory could
give choices for whatever program that you have. When the accessory
window shows, move it to the bottom of the screen and resize your
WordPerfect text windows accordingly.
Similar accessories are available for the Mac.
