I've been having a problem with the left mouse button on my ST-- it seems to be stuck open, and will not generate clicks. Before everyone yells "get a new mouse", I'll mention that the problem does not seem to be with the mouse itself. With the handy-dandy VOM, I discovered that the mouse button does open and close the circuit at the 9-pin plug, and also on the circuit board that has all the keyboard junk on it (yes, I pulled the machine apart). My suspicion is that either a capacitor or one of the chips for the keyboard died. The problem first showed up about two years ago (when I wasn't using the machine much), and was intermittent for a LONG time. Now it appears to be permanent, and I've run out of patience. Has anyone else had a similar problem? I'd love to hear about it, as I'm getting really sick of having to use the Alt-Insert to get a left-click.... Please e-mail, and I'll post a summary if people are interested. Thanks in advance, Pickle -- Patrick H.
