I am new to the ST world(a migrant UNIX hacker and Sun user), so please excuse my ignorance...: I have heard that the 1040 ST can be upgraded from 1 Meg to 2.5 Meg by replacing the DRAMs currently in the system with higher density ones. Can someone please describe to me explicitly how to do this? What kind of DRAMs are in there now? what kind do I need? What speed? Are there any special handling instructions I need to follow? I want to run the GNU stuff, so I figure the upgrade is pretty necessary. Also, has anyone ever attached a coprocessor to the ST through the DMA port? Has anyone attached an MMU to the ST before?
