[comp.sys.atari.st] Mega ST EPROMS

schuster@dasys1.UUCP (Michael Schuster) (07/31/89)

What are the EPROM equivalents for the 1 megabit ROMS used in the
Mega ST (the ones with two of the six sockets filled). The ROMS say
"23C1024", but 27C1024 EPROMS have 32 pins, not 28 as these do.
Are these page-wide ROMS? (27011)?

Evidently, there aren't any. It's a pain the the rear for us, too.

There are no equivalents.

The ROM's are not page-mode ROM's (011 or 513 style). They just use the
-OE line of the xx512 ROMs as additional adress line.
They have no "spare pin" for Vpp left...

The Mega ST can be modified to use 6*27256 (older Megas have 6 sockets
and the jumpers necessary).
