I have the latest version of IMAGE SCAN which supposedly permits scanning at horizontal resolutions of 75, 150, 216, 300, 360 and 1000 dpi. I have tries 360 dpi on both my NX-10 (Star) and NX-2400. At 360 I get a condensed blob on the screen. When I try to print it out using TIMEWORKS DESKTOP PUBLISHER with the 360 dpi fonts I get a condensed elongated blob on paper. Other IMG file print out fine. I suspect the configuration file and what is called the "bplfactor". Does anyone know what this means and how it relates to specific printer commands? For the GEMNI10X.CDS it lists bplfactors of 166 for 75 DPI, 81 for 150 DPI, 53 for for 216 DPI, 39 for 300 DPI, 31 for 360 DPI and 10 for 1000 DPI. I assume this should also work for the NX-10 but it doesn't. I have written to the company ages ago but they never replied. There is no information in the readme file to explain. By the way I was doing the printing with the NX-2400 which can do 360 dpi but it is easier to attach the cable to the NX-10.
