The problems with restoring from Turtle disks was one of "operator error"... that is, trying to use disks with different types of formatting when doing a backup, rather than having them all preformatted all the same... Version 3.0 of Turtle now detects the format in use on a destination disk and allows you to reformat it if it's not the same as the others.. BobR

Turtle doesn't rely on any characteristics of the "TWISTER" format. Version 3.00 supports 9, 10, or 11 sectors per track. Does anyone know where the latest version of Turtle is archived? I checked radc-softvax and didn't find one. The one on BIX is a couple of years old. I can't locate any program archives on bitnet. Are there any? Thanks.
