[comp.sys.atari.st] Zeroing memory

BOB (from "down under") asks:

Indeed there is... it's called PINHEAD 1.3 (from "Zippy the Pinhead"...
er.. nevermind...), written by ST Wizard, Charles F. Johnson, from an idea
proposed by Leo de Witt, of Net fame..

PINHEAD, run from the AUTO folder, gives you the choice of zeroing NO memory
beyond that needed to actually load a program, or specifying an additional
area of memory beyond the program to be zeroed (for some cranky programs that
want to see additional free space).

The increase in speed is VERY noticable... tiny little ACCessories, which
need no additional memory, now load in a blink... even from floppy... an AUTO
folder filled with "workarounds" and "patches" for TOS deficiencies will load
in a small percentage of the time required by a standard ST.

Charles F. Johnson has done it again...! Well worth the small ShareWare fee.
