Yeah, I was noticing that too on some of the earlier Fresh Aires, but I think its gotten better on III, IV, and V. (especially with the digital engineering method employed in the latter two.) (I'm referring to the poor sound quality of the piano on some of the albums) However I'm not really an audiophile myself, (I kinda wistfully won- der whether if any of the members of The Steamroller are also.) sooo. . I've also wondered why the members of the group restrict the audience of their music to audiophiles, anyway. Either it's pure snobberism, or this is a band, folks, with the rare-and-getting-rarer quality of personal *pride* in their works. From my judgements of the output, and from the assumption of mine that they aren't really hurting for the money at the moment, I personally assume the latter. Que, sera. . Oh, BTW, so that all of you Steamroller aficianados are aware of it, (I wasn't till a couple of weeks ago) Fresh Aire V, featuring the London Symphony Orchestra and the Cambridge Singers has been releas- ed on the American Gramaphone label.
