Yes, agreed. I'm a "techie" and *much* appreciate the facility of being able to work on the same document, with the same text formatter, on two different machines (U**x workstation & 1040ST). There are some aspects of LaTeX which cause extreme grief, but there are usually ways around them. My thanks to those Atarians who have been involved in getting TeX, LaTeX, BibTeX, the dvi previewers, the dvi drivers and the fonts up and running on STs - it has been one the *major* benefits of buying an ST. Thanks again. Or is my only recourse to expand the memory? If so how much is comfortably enough? I think I can afford another .5 meg but 2 more meg would be stretching it some. =============================================================================== Tom Tensfeldt Bitnet: TENSFELDT%Eagle.WESLYN@Wesleyan.Bitnet Internet: TTENSFELDT@Eagle.Wesleyan.Edu or Pfizer, Inc., Box 100, Groton, CT 06340 (203)-441-4835 Chemistry Dept, Wesleyan Univ, Middletown, CT (203)-347-9411 X2635 ===============================================================================

I only have 1meg and am able to LaTeX my 100 page Thesi(LaTeX only works on one page in memory at a time), preview it, and print it out on my Deskjet at 300dpi, run BibTeX on it, all with 1 Meg! A hard-drive is a requirement. ========================================================================= | Jeff Long jlong@afit-af.mil (ARPA net) | | | | humble (and getting humbler by the day) graduate student; | | The Air Force Institute of Technology (what a great way of life??) | =========================================================================
