Well, Computers Work at 41st Ave and Bethany Homes Road (in Glendale AZ)got the new Atari PC Portfolio in today. The 'folio is an MSDOS computer the size of a VCR tape. It uses a 80c88 cpu and has MSDOS 2.11 (or close to that) in ROM. It uses a 8x40 screen to scroll through a 24x80 window. So, if you are interested in a new neat gadget call Computer Works at (602) 246-6364 and ask for Jeff or Henry. Two questions that I am a little unclear about: 1. Can you use rechargable batteries with the Portfolio? (Someone in a previous article suggested that you couldn't.) 2. Do the "memory-cards" (32K, 64K, 128K) refer to actual memory upgrades or do they refer to secondary storage? Previous postings suggest the latter, but if that's the case, how does one upgrade to 640K (which, I believe, was also mentioned as a possibility in a previous posting.) If these questions seem naive, it is for a good reason :-) Thanks for any info, Tom -- +---------------+-----------------------------+ I don't remember, | Tom Wolf | Phone: (201) 949-2079 | I don't recall, | Bell Labs, NJ | E-mail: twolf@homxb.att.com | I have no memory, +---------------+-----------------------------+ Of anything at all.
