[comp.sys.atari.st] DeskJet Owners Note

canada@crash.cts.com (Diane Barlow Close) (10/06/89)

The October issue of the ST Informer (ST-related newspaper) has a letter
from a ``disatisfied'' Hewlett Packard Deskjet owner. He was upset because
his ink cartridges didn't seem to last very long (in one case he only got
to print 7 or 8 pages before the cartridge gave out). He phoned HP's DJ
support center and was told that this was not uncommon. He was told he
needed the ``correct short ink cartridge life'' kit that HP has just
developed. It is *FREE* to all DeskJet owners, and should solve their
problems with ink cartridges.

I called and asked for the kit and a bit of information about the problem.
The woman in customer support said that they are having a lot (I guess ``a
lot'' is relative, but they are definitely having more problems than
expected) with short-lived ink cartriges. The kit consists of a depriming
agent and a new ink cartridge (and instructions, of course :-).

You can order this FREE kit yourself by calling (503) 757-2002 and asking
for the ``correct short ink cartridge kit'' for DeskJet printers and
providing your DeskJet Printer serial number.
