[comp.sys.atari.st] PC-DITTO NOT READING DIRECTORY OF PC-FORMAT DISKS WITH *.BAS FILES

	PC_DITTO CAN'T READ DIR OF DISK : WHY ?
-	-	-	-	-	-	-	-	-

I know for a fact that PC-DITTO works perfectly as a PC emulator but
recently I had the following problem.

I downloaded some *.BAS (BASIC) PC files from the school network for
homework assignments. These were on a 3.5" disk that I tried to run under
gwbasic under PC-Ditto. FILE NOT FOUND is the message I got.

I quit basic and at the A: prompt asked for a directory of the disk.

FILE NOT FOUND again, though it showed only 60K space remaining on the disk.

All the other PC format disks work perfectly and give complete directory
except the *.bas ones. (The files are also visible under GEM).

I also tried copying the files to another disk but the same result occurred.

I tried saving an additional file onto the same disk from an ST application
and getting "dir" under PC-Ditto shows that ONE file only. The *.bas files
are still invisible.

I took the disks back to school and checked them on the PCs there. The files
are all visible under the "dir" command. So what could be the problem?

Solution?

Thanks for your help.
