My friend has a -86 or -87 1040 ST. He has only one diskdrive (internal one)
and it has been acting fonny lately. Maybe this has something to do with the
fact that Diskdrive can write WriteProtected disks. It (dd) fails to recognise
any writeprotected disk as writeprotected we feed it. I remember some postings a while a go concerning dd failing to recognise media change. My friend has
that problem too. He is quite handy with electronics and he hopes to repair dd himself.
Has anybody done this himself or can anybody give hints where to look (yeah,
we might start by looking inside the dd, right ;-> ). Any responses welcome.
