Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy

The advanced tea substitute (aka substitute) is used with the generator.
The long dangly bit must be in the substitute so that the drive can be switched
and the game can progress. Further on, you can rebuild the Nutrimat so you
can get a real cup of tea!
