[comp.sys.atari.st] Dungeon Master Question

stevens@vms.macc.wisc.edu (PAul STevens -- MACC) (10/27/89)

I finally broke down and bought DM and a hint book. I have managed
to get to level four.

Does anyone have any information about the history of the development
of this program? I am amazed that anyone udertook such a project.
That they made it work is incredible. That it fits on a single
sided disk is clearly impossible!! The amount of detail in the
dungeon, the sounds, the response time, the pictures, et cetera
boggle my mind.

This has to have been a labor of love. I would really like to
know something of how it came about and be able to express my
respect to the authors for their accomplishment.

Hmmmmm.... You just reminded me of an idea i've had kicking in my
head for some time. At one point, I almost wrote to FTL asking them to
publish a full sized book on DM. This would be complete with source and
flowcharts. The advantage to this? I am -positive- that half of all hackers
for the ST would be willing to shell out $30 for this book. Lets hear it.
Anybody else for a letter writting campaign to FTL?
