Well I still not sure who is at fault: zoo, tos 1.4, or me?
I have tried the following test with two different versions of
of zoo (2.01STe - 89.5.31 and 2.01STg - 89.3.30). The way I generate
the problem is:
(under TOS 1.4 - 89.4.6)
zoo -backup snert snert\*
zoo -test snert
(CRC failures left, right, and centre)
(switch to developer release of TOS 1.4 - 88.8.8)
zoo -backup foo snert\*
zoo -test foo
(alls well)
zoo -test snert
(still faulty)
(switch back to TOS 1.4 - 89.4.6)
zoo -test foo
(works fine)
So the problem is that both versions of zoo will not generate sound
archives under TOS 1.4 - 89.4.6 for some reason. Yet under the developer
release of TOS 1.4 - 88.8.8 everything is hunky-dorey.
My machine environment is a colour Mega 2 with a Megafile 60. I'm using
tos14fix, maccl2, quickst.acc (1.5), emulator.acc, control.acc, and
memfil20.acc. Now Ron Jeppesen claims that zoo - 2.01STe works on his
machine under TOS 1.4 in ROM. What is difference here? Why me and not
him? Please no Zen answers.
Comments from Atari, Daan Josephus (zoo ST) Jitta, or others are most
welcome. I want to narrow down this problem one of three things,
zoo, tos, or my environment. Now I currently believe tos is the cause
since my environment and zoo have not changed in months.
