[comp.sys.atari.st] TT bashing

cmm1@CUNIXA.CC.COLUMBIA.EDU (Christopher M Mauritz) (11/10/89)

Unless the TT is super cheap (which by all indications isn't true), I
can't see it being very popular at all. It is already upstaged by
Apple and Amiga products that have been ON THE SHELVES for months. Why
should Atari release a losing product when they could save themselves
the embarassment and financial loss by keeping it as a COMDEX
curiosity? Although I have been very happy with my ST, it seems that
the Atari R & D machine is just too slow to keep up with the times and
the Atari marketing department has another agenda which does not
include the ST. I have seen Portfolio adds up the yin-yang in the NY
Times Business sections, but the ST line languishes in R & D limbo. It
is a crying shame that the ST line is supported in such a manner, as I
believe the machine COULD have been a big seller. sigh....
