                        WANTED-- BADLY.

I'm looking to buy a new computer to replace my trusty old Atari ST.

         as standard.
      2) It must be very very fast for number crunching and graphics.
      3) It must have a very very fast bus that meets the following:
            A) The bus must have 32 bit address and data lines.
            B) The bus must allow for multiple bus masters.
            C) The bus must allow backplanes for extra slots to be added
               from one slot.
            D) The bus must be a standard that has lots of cheap third
party boards on the market including:
                  1. A standard graphics board of at least one Mb of
                     bit mapped resolution.
                  2. Memory boards for expanding up to the full addressable
                     limit at full CPU speed.
                  3. A LAN.
                  4. Weird and wonderful devices.
      4) It must come in a rugged expandable case with a hefty power supply.

arranged for easy use, a numeric keypad, and function keys.
      8) It must have a mouse.
      9) There must be lots of very fast, cheap, high capacity hard drives
         available for it.
      10) It must be able to transfer data to/from the hard drives at the
full speed allowed by the drive mechanism.
      11) It must have a comfortable internal architecture for programming
with lots of interrupt and i/o control done by support chips.
      12) There must be lots of software support for it, including:
            A) A cheap, full featured UNIX. (real UNIX)
