[comp.sys.atari.st] Downloading, Help Me

Help ! How do I download a file from the Terminator archives to my
ST ? I tried using binary ftp to d/l a file to my school computer and
then binary kermit from there to my ST but I keep getting BAD Header
and BAD checksum errors when I try to de-arc the files.
        Thanks,
            John Dillenburg

Never mind, this is one of those problems that if you (Not me) leave
it alone long enough it goes away. It turns out that you need to use the
-i switch of mermit (i.e. kermit -i) telling it to transmit files "as-is",
otherwise it strips off carriage returns (even in binary mode!).

I'm having troubles too. I set kermit to binary and Uniterm 2.0d
(also tried "kermit.prg") and finally remembered to set the net I have
to go through to access my Unix system to binary too. Get bad chksums
all the time on Qst16d.arc. Is there more to know? I run 8N1 and
have no control flow when trying to do binary downloads. Email responses if
this is too trivial for the net.

these addressing schemes yet. RBPIII.)
