Hello all,
With all the flack and so forth that I've been reading concerning
TOS 1.4... maybe I'm doing something wrong--EVERYTHING WORKS! Thanks
to Ken and the others who are and were involved in the TOS 1.4 project.
After having it now for about three weeks, I'm shocked as to how much
faster and snappier my ST. I positively *love* how much faster memory
'drains' from this four megged monster of mine after a power off. Turning
on the ST under 10 seconds after a power-off results in a clean system.
It used to take nearly a minute before. MANY THANKS!!!
File backups are easier with the archive bit installed. THANKS!!!
/AUTO/ multiple program pre-loads just flat haul. THANKS!!!!
All in all, from a "Joe End User" point of view, I feel like I
have a totally different machine. It's speed is amazing to me and I only
have one program out several that is 'broken', that is, Blood Money. I
just can't get it to work but I blame that on Psygnosis's stupid and
idiotic copy protection scheme.
To Ken, Alan, and John, and the many others involved...thanks for
a great job. If only Atari's customer relation department would march
to the beat of your drum...
