My local PBS TV station had COMPUTER CHRONICLES on last night. CC had a special
Christmas show where they were showing thigns to buy for XMas gifts for IBMs and
Macs.
Anyway, at the end of the normal show they have a segment called "Random Acess"
where they announce latebreaking news. They had a small announcement of the
Atari LYNX. The segment had the Atari name and Fuji logo on the screen. they
compared the Lynx to the Ninetendo Gameboy and liked the Lynx more. Anyway,
CC said that since 'only' 70,000 Lynxes were being shipped before Christmas
that the Lynx may be the "Cabbage Patch Doll" of this season!!!
so, anyhow it was nice seeing Atari in the press. Did anyone happen to catch
this announcement??
P.S. The first season that the Cabbage Pacth Dolls were sold, they were sold out
weeks before Christmas!! And folks were hunting for them everywhere!!
