I am looking for software to manage projects: i.e. given a number of subtasks< time estimates for their completion, and a parallel/serial ordering between them, compute the expected time of completion for the entire task. It should be able to accommodate several people, each of which can be working on several interrelated projects. We have tried MacProject, but it isn't smart enough to realize that parallel tasks performed by the same person require an amount of time that is the sum of the two times, not the maximum. It would be nice to have something with graphical output, but this isn't necessary, as long as enough information is generated to construct a graph. Either source or binary running on a Vax with 4.3bsd UNIX or a PC like the MacIntosh or IBM would be acceptable. -- Ken Turkowski @ CIMLINC, Menlo Park, CA UUCP: {amd, decwrl, hplabs, seismo, spar}!turtlevax!ken ARPA: turtlevax!ken@DECWRL.DEC.COM
