[comp.sys.atari.st] ICDBOOT problem / Where's Bolo?

I'm going "to kill two birds with one stone" here.

First the ICDBOOT problem:

If I understand what you're saying, you have the hard drive normally
autoboot (with ICDBOOT.SYS in C:\), but on occasion, you want to boot
stuff from the floppy as well and still have it boot the hard drive.

I suggest you put ICDBOOT.PRG near the last file of the A:\AUTO folder.
To do that, take everything out of it, and copy everything back, making
sure that ICDBOOT.PRG is copied last, unless you have STARTGEM or
something like that. (Or you could use something like AUTOSORT or
CFJ's AUTO folder sorting utility to rearrange the files in AUTO.)

When the hard drive boots, hold down the CTRL/SHIFT/ALT keys. Right
after you see the hard drive's light flicker and turn off, let go. This
will let the files in A:\AUTO boot and then ICDBOOT.PRG will load after
the rest of the files.

Although what would be easier is to put GDOS in C:\AUTO and get something
like SUPER BOOT or DESK MANAGER to deselect GDOS when you don't want it
to load.

Next: Where's Bolo?

I have the single-sided disk version (the one without music) on my BBS
(916-894-1261: Northern California). BRE Software (1-800-347-6760) has
the double-sided version for $4.00.
