I've recently gotten Pagestream 1.8 and a Megafile 30 to put it on. Before
this we used Pagestream 1.52 on a single floppy 1040. Our printer is an
Apple LaserWriter plus.
However I have been unable to get anything other than a simple small
document (like "hello world" in the middle of the page) to print. The
manual additions enclosed (on disk) do not print.
originally I loaded up everything onto the hard disk. All programs, all
printer drivers, All fonts - the included fonts plus about 10 others that we
got for use with 1.52 - our dealer said the fonts are compatible.
I called softlogik support, they suggested that maybe memory was cluttered
up too much. So i emtptied all desk accessories save the control panel.
Also dumped all auto progs save FOLDR100, NITE15 and MOUSEDOUBLER. I freed
up as much memory as our other 1040 (the one without the megafile 30) has.
I dumped all printer drivers save the PSCRIPT one, I even chopped out all
fonts but the distribution fonts. Still no dice.
I'd like to hear from anyone else with the same configuration as us -
1040 (1 meg) , Megafile 30, Apple Laserwriter, Pagesrteam 1.8 - have you
gotten yours to work?
