G'day folks. Our club had a great year last year. We put on some really good shows and we want to do it again. As a member of the executive, I'll request a brain storming session soon. In the meantime, does anyone have any great idea they've seen and wouldn't mind sharing? Or something they'd like to see in a users group? I'd like to be able to give the guys something to chew on after this session, so if anyone can help I'd be grateful. I haven't done a presentation yet, and since January we plan to slow down a little, organize, regroup and come back good, the prez asked me if I could take care of January. I'd like to talk about upgrades: drives - hard and floppy, memory, accelerators, add-ons, etc etc. I've done a drive upgrade myself, and soldered a memory upgrade, but I'd like to know what else is out there. What brands, addresses, caveats, and things like that. If people have docs and write-ups on anything related at all, I'd love to see it. Docs I could put in the newsletter would be ideal, but I want to write most of that myself. I'd love to hear from other clubs about what they have found successful and what flopped. I know we had one really bad meeting. We left it all to one guy who promised he could take care of everything. People ended up standing around and chatting with each other instead of doing anything, so I'll be careful. The idea was good - Casino Night. Play card games with computers, and starting with $100, see how much you can make. The winner got to take home some great prizes. Thanks for any help. -- "After all is said and done, John Schmitt a lot more is said than done." johns@maccs.dcss.mcmaster.ca Don't blame anybody for what I say. SCHMITTJ@SCIvax.mcmaster.ca
