Sorry about my last entry....... Re Karl Malik's question about inexpensive 8-track studio setup, probably the only 8-track recorders worth considering inexpensive would be made by FOSTEX on 1/4" tape and by TEAC/TASCAM on 1/2" tape. The extra cost of the TASCAM is justified by the sound, which I am very happy with having had expierience with both machines. A TASCAM Model 38 recorder, M-30 mixer and a cassette deck for mastering could exceed $3,500 if the equipment is purchased new. This does not include noise reduction and other outboard effects. Kre Kraftwerk were in the process of going on tour in England in the spring of 1983 to promote their new album "Techno-Pop", however the tour was canceled due to "problems" with the album. A 12-inch EP of their new song "Tour De France" is available in the U. S. and as a Kraftwerk fan I am impressed. The song is an interesiting exploration in the use of digital sampling featuring heavy breathing, harp glissandos and the changing of bicycle gears all set to a dance beat!!!!! Bob Neumann
