There has been a lot of talk about SLM 804 and other laserprinters. SLM wins due to DMA-to-SLM - connection (in speed). Is it possible to make other lasers faster by making a DMA-to-'whatever fast slot there is' - connection. Atari's centronics is supposed to stop at 19.2 Kb, but how fast can Laserjet's centronics do ? There are other slots in lasers too, don't know if they are any use. Maybe somebody with more technical knowledge could tell if it is possible. By the way, I read in 1/90 ST Magazin that a group of developers from Stuttgart are making a Appletalk-emulator (due out 1st Quarter -90). As a bonus it should include full Mac-sound (sound comes through your own hifi-equipment). You may try to get more information at Fearn & Music R{merstrasse 21 7000 Stuttgart 1 W. Germany (at least they advertise : 'Demn{chst: AppleTalk hardware Emulation'). MM. PS. Thanks to all who responded to my questions concerning GCC, I finally got it. I couldn't get my thanks through (our sun has been a bit hazy last couple of months)
