I just grabbed and installed poolfix.prg (which apratt posted <thanks!>), and have come across one minor problem. It and Neodesk 2.05 don't get along at all. Everything works fine from the desktop. This is true with and without shel_fix.prg. I just had some problems with my ROM chips (the dealer who installed them did a pretty lousy job; chips are NOT supposed to be crooked), and I'm _pretty_ sure I reseated them OK. In short, can anybody confirm this?

Everything works fine from the >desktop. This is true with and without shel_fix.prg. When I threw poolfix in my autofolder and rebooted, I too had a problem with Neodesk 2.05. The Neodesktop (hmm!) would load but I couldn't run any programs (the system would just hang when I double clicked on something). Well, I booted up the handy auto_organizer program that came on my Codehead Utilities disk and made it the third program to load, as opposed to the last. Works great now!!! I MADE A MISTAKE. DON'T USE POOLFIX.PRG. POOLFIX.PRG DOESN'T WORK. I'm sorry. My fault. It has bugs and should not have been released. Next week (that is, 1/15 or so) I will post a new one, POOLFIX2.PRG, which will work. Until then, REMOVE POOLFIX.PRG from your system. Wipe it completely. Kill it before it kills you. Am I making myself clear? I have the new fix already done & working, but I hope you can understand if I want to test it to death before releasing it. ============================================ Opinions expressed above do not necessarily -- Allan Pratt, Atari Corp. reflect those of Atari Corp. or anyone else. ...ames!atari!apratt
