With help from Greg Wageman and Rana Dutt (thanks, guys) I finally managed to get some of the fonts from Timeworks Publisher to load into Degas Elite. The results are not spectacularly better than the system font, but it does give better results at some type sizes, and character spacing varies to suit the character rather than being fixed. I loaded the 'Swiss' fonts HPSS07AS.FNT through HPSS16AS.FNT into the folder with the other Degas fonts, and modified the assign.sys file (actually, the assign.ins file, since I'm using G+) to the list of fonts for the high res display. Only 6 files could be added to the list before Degas would hang on booting up. You must reboot to see the effect of changes in the assign file, and double click on the text display box to select the typeface (not in the manual, Tom Hudson....). Now, these 6 files are all of the same type, so one could probably add more files of a different name. The Timeworks files are on Disk 4, in the Part 6 folder of the Timeworks set. Peter
