TRAVEL INFORMATION USA WANTED ============================= My girlfriend and I are planning a six week journey through the USA on a motorbike during may & june 1986. The general idea is to cross the ocean by plane, including the bike, and travel "Coast to Coast" from New York to San Francisco and Los Angelos vice versa. We know that this will be about 6,500 miles but that should not be a problem, since we are planning to stay for appr. 6 weeks. Is there anybody out there who could inform us about the next items : - toppics we should not miss; - average cost of living; - average prices of motels, small town hotels; - average prices of campsites; - average prices of petrol (98 octane or higher); (I have read that your petrol doesn't go that high...) We would much appriciate if you could help us .
