[comp.sys.atari.st] WANTED: LONG. & LATITUDE DATA

glk01126@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu (01/15/90)

I am looking for data pertaining to the longitude and latitude of as
many cities in the world as possible in order to write an
astrological plotting program. Does anyone know where I may
find them or could someone possibly send them?

	Thanks in advance.

Contact the USGS. They sell stuff like that in machine readable
form. You can get it on IBM Formatted 3.5" diskettes, which can directly
be read into an ST.

The program, Atari Planetarium is an excellent source for longitude
and latitude data, is gives locations to quite a number of cities
around the world.

It also gives you celestial coordinates for selected stars.

Anyone know the coordinates for Sacramento, CA?

Ja ne,
Shinobu

While we are on the subject, anyone know a _good_ book and/or a
source of PD source code for doing basic natal chart calculations,
especially planet positions and house cusps (under a variety of house
systems). I though the ANTIC program wasn't accurate enough, and the
one books I have is in BASIC and the code is quite spaggetti. Any
help will be appeciated.

Thanks in advance!
