Hello...I have a dead 520ST & need advice as to where to send it for repair.
Actually, it's not my ST---a friend loaned it to me to try it out before
buying it---I guess I just bought it, huh? I just changed the printer (plugged
in a different one), but the computer was NOT turned on. Nonetheless, could
it be the printer chip? I turn it on & nothing happens, except the little
power light comes on & the speaker makes a little 'dut' sound. The drives
don't light up (well, actually, they did one time, but then even that stopped)
and the monitor is black. What happened & how much will it cost?...
Actually...my question is simply...where is a good repair center? What about
Microtyme in Ohio? Their ad in STart says they're an "Authorized Repair
Center for all Atari Products". Are they reputable? Will they keep my
machine for months & not repair it? Am I rambling aimlessly?
