[comp.sys.atari.st] Printer Driver

brian.beach@canremote.uucp (BRIAN BEACH) (12/17/89)

I have a problem finding a color printer driver for my Star NX
Multicolor printer that will enable me to do color sceen dumps the one
that is listed in the Atari control panel doesn't seem to work for me I
have not been able to find any information on this subject and I have
seen one working for the Amiga. I would appreciate any suggestions as
to how I might make it work so that I can stick back the color ribbon in
the printer and make some use of this printer. I am quite surprised
that their isn't something out there that will work as I have yet to
pick up a Atari magazine and not seen at least 1 Star color printer
advertised! I have had a 1040St since this August after selling my
Apple IIe system and have been amused by all the gripping I have seen on
this board on about Atari well let me tell you the same kind of thing
goes on in the Apple World and I can bet that the other systems have
similar beefs but the bottom line has to be that they are all in it to
make a Buck! so when you have to dish out that $100.00 for up grades
remeber that Apple users have been doing just that for years. I would
like to thank anyone in advance if they can offer me some help or
suggestions as to which program I might purchase that would have the
right printer driver in it.
                           Thank you very much
                               Brian Beach

I think you are looking for DEGASPRT.ARC from panthara or terminator archives.
It installs a new printer driver for what ever printer you have. I have an old
version of the DEGAS printer driver accessory that is PD. I posted here in
case anyone can point to the latest version.

Where can I obtain a Gdos printer drive for use with the Panasonic
Kx-p1090 dot matrix printer?
